I did not even want to watch the news broadcasts today. I'm so disappointed with the voter turnout. The suppression in some of the states is infuriating, like in Georgia and North Carolina. The thinly-disguised poll taxes in the form of draconian voter i.d. laws, yadda, yadda. *rant, rant*

It is so tempting to blame the voters, but it is not all their fault. Poverty and relentless cuts to public education have taken their toll.

If I were cynical, I would say, "Welcome to the United States of Koch Brothers."

I hesitate to blame suppression. If I were in the demographic being suppressed, I would be more likely to vote, not less.

Well, that's YOU. You're not a lazy voter. You care a little bit.
