On second thought I'd like to change my answer: No, because if he were impeached we'd be left with Cheney. And there'd be no bumbling filter left to screw up the nefarious plans he attempts to channel through Bush.

I get the impression that many of the folks reading your journal think W is a hunky dude or that you have a contingent of closeted Cheney supports taking your poll. I see that at least two commentors have realized that removing W leaves Mr. Undisclosed-secure-location at the helm.

Seriously, though, I see your poll as asking people whether the Democrats should abandon all pretense of a moral high-ground and join the Republicans in their "Seize-and-maintain-power-by-any-means-necessary" modus operandi.

when they impeach the president, the house of representatives is essentially functioning as a grand jury, charging him with a crime. they then select representatives to prosecute him in front of the senate, who can remove him from office or acquit him. clinton was impeached and acquitted. nixon was about to be impeached and resigned.
