i am not a fan of the death penalty. i don't even think that they necessarily have a good case against him on the most serious charges.
they should be fired for the cavalier disregard for the constitution that is the hallmark of this administration.
at this point, all that is in jeopardy is whether mussaoui will live or die. he's in jail for life, regardless. but it could have just as easily led to a complete mistrial, or acquittal, as in the case of a certain b movie actor/football player named after a breakfast drink. just because cops and prosecutors play fast and loose with the law in primetime and the theaters doesn't mean it works in the real world.
