i
arrived with no fanfare last night. as soon as i stepped of the plane, i recognized the damp, dank smell that is all-pervasive here, just as i recognize the blast furnace of tucson. it felt just as good. i was just now mentioning that it reminds me of the smell of the dinosaur "ride" at epcot center in florida. stayed at a hotel last night, and took myself to breakfast at my favorite little cafe this morning. then got in touch with becky and kc, who took me to dinner tonight for my birthday. becky and i also took a walk around the park and visited the museo de arte costaricense.

tomorrow, spend one more day with kc and becky, then visit with warren friday, and saturday i head for the volcanoes and cloud rainforests. :)
