That's so weird to me. I would've LOVED to have such a cool house! But I am very glad for you, of course. Good job!

I know. :/ Were I able to be buying, I'd've raised the offer if he'd *not* repainted. But I guess it's just me.

It seems strange to me that people who don't want that paint job, can't see through it. I'd be like, "we'll the color's a little weird, but if I can buy a house, I can afford a couple hundred dollars in paint."

as-is is that only way i'd go when buying a house. i don't understand people's obsession with forcing the owner make the changes/improvements/repairs. i'd rather do it myself, to my liking and satisfaction. i toured this one house the other week with a realtor, and the owner was fretting aloud, "i really wanted to put in a breakfast bar here..." (and other things she wanted to do but didn't get around to doing), and i told her, "i'm glad you didn't, because i would have said, 'awww, man, a breakfast bar; now i gotta tear this out!!"

did you put the solar panels on, or did you buy it that way? i'm going to convert my place to solar.

and your paint looks brighter/greener in reality than in the photo you posted, wouldn't you say?
