remember when i posted my letter to the editor regarding the failure of tucson democrats to field a candidate against our republican mayor, despite having a 2-1 registration advantage? i encouraged all democrats to vote for the admittedly lackluster green party candidate. the paper, owned by the right wing, naturally didn't print it.

well, the republican won with over 70% of the vote.

what's disgusting is that less than 25% of registered voters participated.

tucson, i wash my hands of you. you truly deserve what you are going to inevitably get, a slow, dry, sprawling decline into the dust.

i hope the people here that i care about see the light and leave before they lose everything to the plummeting of housing prices which will only accellerate as developers continue to expand this city in complete disregard of environmental reality.
