the scale was impressive, as was the workmanship, but it is billed as "the greatest testament of love" because this king had 22000 people and 32 million rupees (400 years ago) to spend on a tomb for his dead wife. more a testament to power, i'd say.
not sorry i went, but i could have done an awful lot of touring around delhi for the same money and time. it was eight hours on a train for two hours there.
