nevada and, i think, florida lost their delegates by holding their primaries too early. what exactly does this mean? do nevada and florida voters have no voice in choosing the nominee?

Democratic nominees. I guess they do not have a choice. It's sad but true. The DNC decided to punish them because they wanted to jump the gun. One upmanship didn't work for those states.

so what happens if the convention comes along and obama wins, but only because hillary's win in nevada isn't counted?

Michigan, not Nevada. Nevada's delegates are fine. Michigan and Florida won't be represented at the DNC. I think Clinton's still on the ballot in Michigan, but none of the other candidates.
