san carlos, mexico

san carlos was built in the 70's, along with a bunch of other coastal towns, specifically to be a tourist resort. it's in a really pretty location, but that's about all it has going for it.

there must have been a large storm recently, because there were a lot of pelican carcasses above the high tide line in the same approximate state of decay. dozens of jellyfish washed up on the beach with every tide.





































two weeks til we fly to honduras to volunteer at a clinic in la guacamaya. jane will be there three weeks, i will be at the clinic until july 18th and then go to guatemala to study spanish and see pyramids! i'll be back on august 28th.
