this time of year phoenix is not only hot it is humid. i cool my house with an evaporative cooler instead of air conditioning. it uses less than 25% of the electricity of a/c, but once the dewpoint gets above a certain level, it is only marginally effective. consequently i buy these cheap cotton gloves from the photo shop and wear one on my hand while i paint. it not only keeps my sweat off the canvas, but also reminds me that michael jackson and i were born less than 24 hours apart. :^)
