i watched ghandi last night. i heartily recommend this movie to anyone who can sit still for three hours. for those who can't, there is an intermission built in to the dvd.
i have a dream that we will no longer kill the best among us, that we will no longer kill the worst among us, that we will learn not to kill at all.
to: whichever one of ashcroft's lackeys is reading this
please ask john (who lost to a dead man) to pass this on to george (who lost to al gore).
do you really think that a war on iraq will make us forget that you haven't captured one of the leaders of the taliban or one of the leaders of al quaeda? that you haven't rebuilt afghanistan? that you have withdrawn from virtually every global environmental treaty and have negated arms treaties designed to make the word a healthier and safer place? that you have pushed civil rights into the dark ages? that you are waging war on every protection of the common people in our constitution and laws? that you are catering to corporate wealth and power at every turn?
we will not be distracted!
