the premise of this performance was loosely based on a game of chess, with the board created by anyone who wanted to color a square during the day
the game was basically "musical squares". they called all the children over, had them run around, and gradually blocked off the squares available to them. it was hilarious to watch, especially this one little boy who figured out that he could just run in circles on one square and never get knocked out, until they busted him, of course. born politician. i took no pictures during the game. he didn't win.
