several of the colors i used in this latest painting had highly concentrated pigment, thanks to my parents' birthday gift. mixing these gorgeous french pigments into my colors enhanced both brilliance and opacity. thanks you guys!

You should try to get some paints from Mexico as well Dave. Less additives, and the colours are vibrant.

i used to have a good connection for mexican paint. when i lived in san francisco in the 80's, i participated in several mural projects which used them. i don't remember where i bought them, but i used them in some paintings back then. can you recommend a particular brand?

Nope, but perhaps gringo_in_tj might be able to. He was mentioning the brightness of a particular paint that he purchased in Mexico a few months back.
