when i was seven i started wearing glasses. when contacs first came out, i tried the hard ones but couldn't handle them. when i was 30 my gf at the time got me soft ones, and i've been free ever since. it's really not a vanity thing for me. i like peripheral vision. i like to be able to see when i'm swimming. i like to be able to see when i get up at night (i wear extended wear disposeables), and my nose is too small to hold up glasses, so i was perpetually pushing them up. when i first got contacs i kept pushing up the glasses that were no longer there. anyway, it frustrated me no end when i found i suddenly had to wear reading glasses along with my contacs last year. the price of aging, i guess. today i got bifocal contacs, so i am free again!
