lie face down on the ground.
examine each crumble of dirt, each pebble, each blade of grass.
take your time.
notice the details.
how many colors would it take to paint that pebble?
how many lifetimes to reproduce that blade of grass?
watch an ant explore its universe.
how are you more significant than the ant?

look at everything this way.

I try to look at everything that way, but because there are so many different things to look at, I'm easily distracted.

Eloquently expressed Dave. Most often I see things, life
in this way. It's an awesome gift, we are all blended
together on a magnificent & beautifully painted canvas.

there have definitely been times when i did succeed in seeing the world that way, but they have become less frequent, and i am not sure why.

I just don't know about that next-to-last line.

Can an ant appreciate beauty? Can an ant love?

Can an ant solve high-order differential equations? ;)

Ants don't even need to have knowledge of differential
equations, have you ever looked closely, deep into an
ant colony?
;)

I have had that habit since I was a little girl, pay close attention to even the littelest of details and break it down into how you would paint it. What colors, what shades, what brushes would be needed.
