i just demolished the faux fireplace in my living room. upcoming projects: rip out all the carpets in the house and paint the floors, knock down two walls (maybe three), rearrange the kitchen, paint everything, farbelize the exterior of the house, raise the roof on my studio, set up water collection tanks, put trellises on what used to be the carport and turn it into a patio, build benches which double as storage for said patio, plant chilean mesquite tree in the newly expanded back yard and learn to make and use mesquite flour, raise and level remaining 50' of fence, complete riprap slope all around yard, fix front porch roof...

i may be busy for a while. all this work keeps my mind off some things i shouldn't obsess on, though.
