i dropped several stacked sheets of corrugated steel on my leg today and got 8 stitches just below the knee. nicole saved me by cleaning and dressing the cut, and by catching me when i passed out from shock. she also drove me to the emergency room and talked them into dealing with me ahead of a bunch of people. i love this woman so much. i won't be going to the river this weekend even though the doctor said it would probably be ok. the trip leader and i agreed that it wasn't worth risking an accident which could ruin the trip for everyone. instead i will be going at the end of august, and will be at the bottom on my birthday. plus, i get to stay here with nicole for two more weeks since she has postponed leaving :):):)
