servicing her baby in odessa
i just liked the lines in this one
these are from an abandoned house we stopped at. someday we may buy one of these and fix it up. they are everywhere, and some are adoreable.
this is where nicole hopes to work in lubbock
the room we stayed in at the crystal palace in lubbock. as you can see by the furniture, it used to be a brothel. nicole lived there when she was here last. they have since removed the maroon and gold wallpaper. gotta love the mirror ;)
the storm we went of to chase. no tornandoes, but a beautiful sunset and a fun time. there was likely hail in the storm itself, but since it was dark, we stayed pretty far away, only getting under the leading edge of it right before we headed back.
a grain elevator in brownfield, where the crystal palace is.
across the street from the napa where we bought a radiator plug for the car. it's great driving with a mechanic :)
something about pictures of railroad tracks and big sky...
coming down out of the guadalupe mountains on the el paso bypass, about to say goodbye to texas for now.
it was a frustrating trip, particularly for nicole, as 5 tornadoes popped over the area the day we were driving back. i am really glad we went, though. it was magical to see the change in her as she drove into the area she loved, and the intensity with which she concetrated on the chase. i'm looking forward to sharing many more with her. this is to nicole what the grand canyon is to me. i'm taking her there next summer.
peace to all.
