arizona may look like a red state

but don't count on it. tucson's major newspaper, the arizona daily star, endorsed kerry today, and tucsonans turn out to vote much more reliably and in greater numbers than do phoenecians. we have a democratic governor because largely democratic tucson had a 75% turnout in the last election, while largely republican phoenix only mustered 40%.
